    Hi,

I am in an air conditioned & fanned room(71 degrees F) and the M1330 I got two months ago is really hot on the palm rest. I am only web-surfing on AC with "Hi Performance" scheme, 9-cell battery, USB EVDO card, and have the computer on a wooden desk.

The computer is really hot(bottom center) and usage is really affected because my palms are getting uncomfortable. I don't remember the computer heating up this much when I first got it. I never had any issues with hot palms on my older dell laptop.

Could this be a malfunctioning M1330 or is that just a fact of life with this model?

Anyone use the Zalman laptop cooler? This is way too hot.

The Zalman 1000 will most likely help a little. You should also check that the air intakes under the laptop are not clogged with dust. Over time that can become a problem.

That's not normal behaviour. Even in a 26 degree room playing games my palm rest never gets hot, barely even warmer than the desk to be honest.

Why must you leave it on high performance?
