I had a minor dent in the LH corner of my M1330 - I did Dell chat support - sent them a picture - and they called to follow up.
Dell sent a Tech with a new palm rest. The Tech brought the new palm rest and I inspected it - it looked fine , no dents or scratches. He installed the new palm rest in about 30 minutes. When I inspected his work - there was a dent in the RH corner on my M1330.
The Tech stated that he did not have to push hard to install the new palm rest. He looked at the screws that hold the palm rest to the frame and backed out the screw slightly - voila!!- no more dent!
We then checked the old palm rest only to find out the dent had disappeared.
So If you see a dent in the corners of an M1330-just back the screw out a little and save your self the time dealing with support.

mines got a little dent on the left side right above the touchpad. I had them replace it because of that and the replacement also has this as well. The replacement was brand new and still wrapped. So I guess they are like this as well, too bad I lost my little stickers on the palm rest as well.

My 1530 had some dents. I don't think a screw caused mine...just a careless person assembling the notebook...
