Hello, I'm trying to get the latest video driver from Intel, but I couldn't install it. It gives me a message saying something like the product compatibility is not verified for my system. How do I get the latest driver for my gm965 chipset?

Did you get it from dell.com or intel?

I got it from intel. The one from dell looks outdated.

that is probably your problem, dell tweaks the drivers to work with dells sometimes, try the dell driver. its just the on board graphics right, what do you want to accomplish with a new driver? i have the same video and have never updated anything... still works fine

there's this game that didn't work until i updated to the latest video driver from dell. So I was thinking the game might perhaps run better if I use the newest driver from Intel.

After you install a DELL driver, it will stop you from upgrading to an intel driver The only way to stop is to get rid of the DELL driver completely. Take a look at this thread.

Hey, thanks. That's very helpful! Which method should I follow? Which one is safer? Uninstalling then iinstall or go to device manager and install manually?
