    Hi.

I've got an M1330 and in Vista 32 bit the gpu idles at around 53°C (as measured by HWmonitor) yet in Ubuntu's Hardy Heron 64 bit after installing envy I am told by nvidia-settings that the gpu runs at about 43°C (a whopping 10°C difference).

Have anyother dual booters seen such variation? This is my first time using Linux, so could anybody tell me what this is down to? Could it be a faulty sensor reading?

    Cheers,
    Julius

Never seen Ubuntu, as its worthless and not worth putting on my laptop, but Im assuming its allowing the GPU to idle more because of a more basic UI?

That's just my guess. My GPU Idles at 47-52.
