    Hi,
I am about to buy a XPS M1330 again (first two were bad and i just returned them not wanting it again, but now thinking of buying it again hopeing build is better). This time i only want to get 1 gig of ram from dell and 1 gig from newegg which is only like $25 (instead $125 from dell). I had a few question.

    1) if i buy the M1330 with 1 gig, will it come with 1 1gig stick or 2 512 sticks?

    2) When i go to newegg they have two types of DDR2 667 RAM, one is 5300 and the other is 5400. which one would i use for the M1330?

    Thank you in advance.

    1) They only come in dual pairs...so 2x512MB. It is cheaper for Dell, more expensive for you :p.
    2) They're the same, so do not go for the marketing gimick that is 5400. Go with the better prices on name brand 5300.
