Hello, I bought M1330 laptop with Vista Business. The shop says that I must have 4GB of ram, but Vista says 2GB. Also checked from BIOS and there's also 2048 MB. Any suggestions?

One of the sticks is not properly seated, or it's not a Hynix branded mondule (a recent BIOS update made you only able to use Dell memory)

So the only option is to send the laptop back to shop?

Open the bottom of the case and make sure both are properly seated. They're pretty easy to mis-seat.

dell knows that a lot of users upgrade hard drive and ram on their own.. as lon gas you dont blow up your computer or scrub some other part when looking at the ram portion, u'r fine
