I noticed this problem when I first got this machine. The K on the keyboard is always loose and I am afraid someday it is going to come off. Sometimes if I don't press the K in the center, it will get stuck and won't spring back. How do I fix it? How does the m1330 keyboard work? Is the spring loose or something? Can I pull the K out and see what's wrong? I don't want to break anything. Thanks.

I'd rather phone Dell and ask for a replacement keyboard. Chances are they will post you the new keyboard, so then you can replace it yourself and then you can ship the faulty one back.

Ah... In that case, have you tried pushing the key so that it might snap into place? I've tried that on two laptops before and that fixed the problem.

I tried that, and it snapped into place. But the thing is it is still kind of loose and if I don't press it in the centre while typing, it might get stuck.

Hey, I found 2 options maybe??? From Dell, so yes..you can!

Here is a replacement Keyboard for your 1330 (refurbished) from the Dell Outlet:

    http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dfh&cs=22&sku=MU194#Overview

$65.99!! Wow..compared to E-Bay pricing.... ;) You could by a few of them!

    Ebay pricing example:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/MU194-NEW-DELL-...-XPS-1330_W0QQitemZ200252272562QQcmdZViewItem

And, here is the Vostro 1400 Keyboard (refurbished), if you wanted to fit that into it..like a few others have:

    http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...ctdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dfh&cs=22&sku=JM629

    $54.99 starting price ;) :)

Ebay pricing = much better. :)

    Hope that helps...

    Cin ;) :)

Hey, thanks very much. I live in Canada so I can't buy the keyboard from the Dell Outlet. I guess ebay is my only option but I'll wait until my keyboard really falls apart :p
