    Greetings,

I am thinking about buying new LCD monitor of 24-27'' size, for example my favorite is DELL 27'' 2709W:
    http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=170559

all these monitors have 1920x1200 native resolution, and I am wondering if it is possible to connect DELL M1330 notebook to them.

will nvidia 8400GS 128MB handle such a big resolution on these monitors?

according to nvidia desktop specs, it can only handle such a big resolution only through an analog output, but I would like to use digital one (HDMI or HDMI>DVI convertor) because of picture quality.

is M1330 "powerful" enough to be connected to such a screen and if yes how?
    What cable should I use?

thank you, I have looked on the forums here but couldn't find the answer.
They were only solving problems with 1080p TVs running (should be ok) but I am interested of running 2nd screen (24-27'' LCD) with native resolution of 1900x1200.

thanks for any support/experience you might have with such a screens connected to your laptop.

Well as i know , there should be no problem for your graphic card for that resolution. bigger resolution just take some more MB of ram on your card and the maximum resolution of 8400GS is 2048 x 1536 so you can even buy a bigger screen lolz .

    yes that what specifications say...

but what are actuall experiences? because I would like to use HDMI not classic VGA analog cable, and digital output of 8400GS specs aren't looking too good (e.g. such a big resolution is supported only through the analog).

I wouldn't like to end up with expensive monitor connected through analog output when I bought this laptop because of HDMI!

so any HDMI experience of connecting to 24'' screens?
