I'm looking for Dell replacement team #.

My motherboard on my M1330 died again when I sent it in they offered me to replace the laptop as they see it is a recurring problem.
I was happy and requested for the XPS 15Z.
I now find out they are shipping the the FAT HUGE Regular XPS. which I do not want.
Tech support says it is equivalent, even though it is clearly not, it is HUGE compare to my M1330.

Arrggggg. I dont want to sell it and shop for a laptop.

Try some more negotiating. Might get someone with more power to get you the xps15z instead.

The xps15 is still a decent replacement. At the moment there is no 13,3" notebook in Dell's assortment.

The regular xps seem bulkier than they are actually. The pictures on the website don't do any justice.
    Let's compare the real dimensions:
    XPS M1330 | XPS15 | XPS15z
    ---------------------------------------------------
    Height 33 mm | 38 mm | 25 mm
    Width 318 mm | 381 mm | 384 mm
    Depth 240 mm | 266 mm | 260 mm
    Weight 1,8 kg | 2,7 kg | 2,5 kg

Looks like your M1330 fits in between (I'm not looking at width, depth and height because it's unfair to compare 13" to 15" at those points).
Maybe with these numbers you can convince them? But hey, be glad they offer a replacement. Don't know much companies who would do that after that much time. Even after two motherboard failures.

I wish you could luck with your further negotiating with Dell support!

Called in again and they said we understand this is heavier, bigger and uglier than your M1330 but we only care about the specs inside.
He has issued another request for 15z. lets see what happens

Make sure they send you the 1080p screen with the XPS 15 or XPS 15z, whichever you get.

The 720p screens in both laptops are junk.

    First thing I did :)
    I HATE low resolution laptops!

The XPS 15 that they were going to send me had FDH Screen. We'll wait and see what happens.
