My XPS16 will be arriving within a week or two and I have a two year warranty with complete care. Lets say after 20 months or so, I decide that I want to extend the warranty, can I do it? And if so, how much?

    Thanks!

and sometimes, when your warranty is about to run out, someone @ dell might call you to upsell on warranty... if you say no or 'thinking about it', they usually call back with a better offer

but nothing beats finding a great deal on a laptop with default 3/4 yr complete care... too late for you i guess

I get that too, but I thought it was due to me being in Canada.

For those of you who can't get it to work try this:

    http://support.dell.com/support/top...?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=pub&~ck=anavml&servicetag=

click on the link - when you see the page where you are to enter your service tag, first go back to the URL and at the end of the URL you will see:

    servicetag=

Add your service tag and then hit your enter key to reload the page. Next, enter your service tag and click Continue

you should then be presented with the correct page. Not sure why - but Dell really needs to fix their web dev guys... lol

Glad it worked out for you. Like some have reported in other threads and this one - the price can change. What I suggest is call them up after viewing the price online and then ask them for a quote. See if the price matches what you found online and then ask if they can do better by lowering it. Get a quote (you should be able to have them save a quote for you which will be good for 7 days). Then call back in a few days, give the rep your quote# and try again at a lower price. :)
