The left side of the palm rest makes a clicking sound everytime pressure it applied on it. At first, I just ignored it but its clicks ALL the time since my hand pressure isn't constant.

Is the SXPS16 difficult to disassemble? Its driving me crazy and I'd hate to call a tech just for this.

Was the Technician just out for repair?
If it were me, I would call back and have that Technician out and have him open it back up and fix whatever he did.

Unless, you are comfy opening your lappy back up & trying to fix whatever the problem might be. I know I wouldn't be.

(I had a problem with a Repair that a Technician did on my 1530 once & it took several fixes later to take care of what he did wrong after he closed up my lappy).

Thanks for the advice. I was comfortable on my M1530 but the SXPS16 seems to be more compact. It does really bother me though.

I have the same problem and to me it's impossible to "repair" this...when you apply force from top, the side panel got squeezed outwards and thus making the sound...

Well maybe if the palm rest was taken off and reinstalled, it might solve the issue. Its driving me nuts.

I've tried that for three hours but still have no luck at all...
