I've been waiting to order the M1530 for a while now, and I've come up with 2 possibilities but I have difficulty deciding between them.

#1: Order an XPS M1530 from the US (I live in Belgium), black but with LED screen (can't get these over here in the M1530). Price would be about the same even with transfer and VAT but the warranty ownership transfer might give problems.

#2: Order a local XPS M1530 with the same specs only without the LED screen but the product RED (since you can't get LED screens here anyways and the red color is so much better). Less hassle and in red, but no led.

So my question is: Is it worth the hassle just for a LED screen? Is it that much better (I mostly use my laptop @ college and on the train towards college each day).

I would get the LED Screen since they are better on battery life and lighter, brighter. I think the color black looks very nice on these.

The thing I'm worried about though is the warranty. I can officially transfer it to the European system, but what happens when something happens to my screen and they say they can't replace it because they don't have them over here?
Why won't Dell just release the LED screens on the M1530 instead of the Studio 15 over here...

If you can wait you could see if when Dell refreshes the XPS line if they add LED screens . . . of course sense it's new they jack up the prices. :p I love my LED screen though, tough call.

LED is definitely worth the money.. just ur in a bit of problem spot...

i would just wait, or call Dell UK to make sure that warranty transfer is okay(get in writing or email, not just on the phone)
