Sigh, ofcourse something goes wrong. My stomach sank and I got depressed to see my screen is messing up before my eyes. 1/3 of the length of the screen from the left there is a 1/8th inch vertical line top to bottom of distorted pixels. It looks terrible and I guess Im going to be calling Dell now to see what my options are.

    This blows.

Have you made sure that it's a problem with the display itself and not the motherboard/GPU? Try connecting the laptop to an external monitor and see if the problem replicates.

Not my problem to figure out what it is really. I'll let them take care of it.

You sending it back for a replacement or a refund?

My replacement unit with the LED should be here on Monday.

They had someone use remote screen to install Dells drivers and some utility updates but the problem is still there. They are sending someone to my house to replace the screen. They said it has be a refurb but heres hoping I get the same beautiful display I have with this one.

Not all screen replacement kits are refurbs ... some are brand new/unused LCD's issued as replacements simply because there aren't always enough refurb screens to cover required volume. Unfortunately there is no way to identify them from the rest of the inventory simply because they use the same part#.

Well I've been assured if its a refurb it will be the same quality as a new one and be covered on my warranty the same so, if they give me another bad screen they are only screwing themselfs over
