    Hey.

I've had this laptop for a few months now, and when i first got it, I tried to install Windows XP. It installed fine, but I couldn't find any working drivers for a few things, like the wireless card.

Is it possible to run Windows XP properly on this laptop? Does anyone know where to get working drivers for all the hardware in this laptop?

    Cheers.

Dell won't have them. You may be able to get most of them from various manufacturer's web sites. E.g., I have the Intel Advanced-N 6230 wireless, which is available from the Intel web site:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%c2%ae+Centrino%c2%ae+Wi-Fi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+Centrino%c2%ae+Advanced-N+6230&ProdId=3315&LineId=1784&FamilyId=1783

There's also an Intel HD graphics driver that might work. Others, like the ST Micro motion sensor and Renesas USB 3.0 driver may be harder to find. Alternately, you could install Win 7 and a virtual machine like Windows XP mode or Virtualbox, and not worry about drivers.

virtual machine would be no good as i want to play some old multiplayer games that require ipx, like dungeon keeper. intel HD graphics would be fine. I'll give it another try sometime soon as see if I have anymore luck.
