    Hello,

Has anyone experienced a fan spinning all the time with a new SSD.

I did a clean windows install and put new ssd - however since then the fan is on almost every time, even when I browse the web.
Processor is set to max 99 and cooling is passive.

The temp of I7 is about 45-50C and chipset is 65C.

Its never happened with an original Windows installtion from Dell (I did read about issues with fan but I never experienced them)

    Thanks
    Martin

you're fine, the reason why the fans kick on so often is because there's spikes on the processor's end. I have it too (it also depends on your room temperature). Your SSD is blazing fast so everything processes tons faster ;) Be happy with the upgrade!
