    L502x keyboard on L501x

    Has anyone tried to put the chiclet style keyboard from the L502x on the L501x, i have the backlit keyboard on my L501x currently and the keys are starting to wear the glossy coating off them making them white and ugly, i like the chiclet style better, was wondering if its possible.

    Should be the exact same keyboard. The chassis is the same, the only differences were in the CPU/GPU components put inside (and obviously the mobo is different to support the new chipset and CPU/GPU). Physically no difference outside.

    Isn't the backlit a chicklet too? The one on my l702x is...

    I'd like to know, too. I read on another forum that the L502X keyboard is not compatible with the L501x because of different screw location.

    Can anyone confirm?

    There is no screw on L502x keyboard as opposed to L501x counterpart (pic from chanman's thread):

    And yes, the location of the tabs on L502x keyboard is different, they're closer to each other.
