Is my L502x supposed to come with a bluetooth module? It has the WWAN mobile broadband module and Intel Wifi 1000 BGN.

My L501x had no WWAN but had the bluetooth module.

Bluetooth on l502x is only in the wifi module.

For instance you cant have wifi + bluetooth + wimax. Its either wimax or bluetooth. rubbish and stupid, but thats it.

So if you get the 1030 or 6230 you have to drop the mobile broadband WWAN module?

I noticed on my replacement system initially it stated Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030 (1x2 b/g/n+ Bluetooth Combo Card) 548559 1 [555-13700] 19 in the specifications but I actually got the Intel 1000 BGN in mine. =/ Should I complain? Is it something to do with a limited number of antennae wires inside?

So basically, should bluetooth + wlan + wwan work in the L502x?

    yes. YOu cna have either:

    WIFI + Bluetooth

    OR

    WIFI + WIMAX

It stupid and infuriating. Dell was so stupid about it that I harrassed them into sending me a hspa gsm card to use in the WWAN slot since they screwed up the design so much.
