Hello to the forum members!!! I am gonna head to my problem..
I am a L502x owner. A few days ago i had an accident and thanks god only the screen broke, at the moment the laptop is connected to an LCD external screen through a minidisplay to vga adapter.
I have disassembled the laptop and found out that the installed screen is the B156HW01 V7. h/w:0A, f/w:1. I have been searching around to order this screen but i have a couple of questions.
First of all what is the difference between h/w 0A and h/w 1A. I have found stock h/w 1A screen but i do not know the differences.
If I order this 1A will it be fully compatible with my laptop?
Also i live in Sweden can you please tell me a reliable source in europe that can ship the proper screen? I prefer a+ or a grade screen..
I have searched ebay sellers but the responses i got were not what i wanted.. Not straightforward enough..
Thank you everyone in advance and sorry if the above questions are already answered..

mmm, not sure about the screen versions

however if you had a hd or hd+ screen, you can now upgreade to a FHD screen, if you had a hd screen you will also need to get the fhd cable.

First of all thank you for your reply. My screen is full hd.. I can find grade a or a+ screens but the difference is in the H/W0A and H/W1A. If i get the H/W1A will it be compatible with the laptop?

Any other suggestions? I can not find anything online about the differences.

Hardware revision 0A and 1A? - Normally it goes by that code, don't quote me though!

I would assume so, as CK said, the most significant thing is to make sure you've got a cable which is correct/compatible

    Here's one possibility:
Dell XPS 15 L502X replacement Laptop LCD Screen from $62.99 Brand-new screens (never used).

Although I haven't ordered from them personally, others have done the same.

    Cheers
