    I have an XPS L502X (Intel i7 + GT540M and 1080p B+RGBLED)

The screen is too bright. Can someone point me to a thread in which I find the display settings of other users? or help me to set a screen for photo editing in lightroom etc.?

Thanks very much for your help ...

i tried using all the different calibrations and didn't like any of them...all of them being oversaturated or having some weird color haze to them. Right now i'm using the Intel graphics and media control panel, first reset to default, then under all colors set saturation at -25 and brightness at -10, leave everything else default. in power settings my screen is around 60% and thats where i like it...great color but no unrealistic oversaturation. hope this helps.

First i try to set on nividia control panel brightness and contrast at 45% and gamma at 0.85... now i try Yours settings and i think its goes a little red so i set saturation on red channel at -30...

    thx for your help :))

I tried the color profile that article provided but it REALLY desaturated the colors. It may be ok for photography (kinda doubt it though), but not good for graphics. I used an xrite i1 color calibrator on my l502x B+RGLED yesterday and got a much better color profile out of it that would suit my needs well (web and graphic design). The gray on this monitor are too cool, and this icc profile corrects this.

All monitors produce colors a little differently, but it's worth a shot to try mine below.

    1. Open "Control Panel"
    2. Open "Color Managment"
    3. Click "Add"
    4. Browse to wherever you unzipped it and double click the profile
    5. Click on the profile in "Proflies associated with this device" window
    6. Click "Set as Default Profile"
    7. Done

if you don't like it then just select the original or another profile and set it as default.

ok... i've done this... but what with 3rd tab ? any changes there ?

there is set a sRGB profile in first two options from top...

where i can see the diferences beetwen this profile and normal mode ? when i print something? or only when i, for example, do something in PS, save it for web and publish on the internet? then it will have more compatibility with this what i see in Photoshop ?

    thx for you help... :)
