I am considering purchasing an L502X, but 1920x1080 is too high a resolution for me on that size screen (I don't have the best eye sight).

Has anybody tried running 1600x900 on the 1080P screen? How does it look? Thanks.

I looked through some different resolutions when I first got the laptop and everything but the native 1920x1080 looked like @$$!. Increasing the dpi to 125% looked better but I still didn't like it. Maybe the 1080p XPS 17 would be a better choice for you if you want high rez?

@OP, running at anything other than the native resolution usually never looks good..IMHO  But, get 1600x900 if you think it is a better fit for you. : )

I tried 1600x900 on my 1080p screen and it looks fine. I've used it for few days, but i switched on 1920x1080, and soon got used to it. ;)

The XPS 17 would not work for me because I need more portability. Thanks for the opinions guys. I would appreciate more because right now I'm getting mixed signals.
