    hi people
am thinking of buying the xps 15 from the outlet and pretty much all the laptops had the wled screen (except one which was out of my budget range).

i hear bad things about this screen, would i be dissapointed if i buy a laptop with this screen?

my cousin bought an inspiron 17 last year and i thought the display on that was really nice...is this comparible?

    should i got for a xps 15?

my budget is £550- £600 maximum and from the outlet you can get a pretty powerful machine for the price

That resolution is pretty low for a laptop that big. You may like the screen...get it. If you don't like it, you can always return it. Dell will pay for a return shipping label so, no loss to you.

    I say, get it.

I just bought a higher-end machine from the Outlet.

Perhaps we see a different list of available machines here in the US, but I'd advise you to watch every day for a week or so. Here, there are new selections daily and you might just find the machine of your dreams at a price you can afford. If you really want the FHD display, you may need to compromise some of the other specs, though.

If you don't get the 1080p B+RGLED screen, then don't get the XPS 15 at all as you will be extremely disappointed as I went through such an experience. The 720p screen effectively renders the XPS 15 a garbage system.

i think the best way would to be able to vew a comparible screen or even the same screen in person...
does anyone know what other laptops have the exact same or simular screen? cos then i can make a judgment

why does this laptops have to be so polarising??????

If you don't have anything to compare the lower rez screen too you won't know the difference. But if you ever see the 1080 display or a good laptop display you'll hate yourself for not getting the good display. I paid the extra 100 bucks or so and I'm so, so very glad I did. It really is an awesome display. If you do a search on these forums you'll find that is the number one recommendation from everyone. Get the better display!
