    Here's my config info:

    1) Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz/800Mhz FSB, 6MB Cache)
    2) Operating System: Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition
    3) System Color: Tuxedo Black
    4) Memory: 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)
    5) High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch LED LCD (1440x900)
    6) Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT
    7) Hard Drive: 320GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
    8) Sound: Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD Software Edition
    9) Wireless Networking Card: Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Mini Card
    10) Battery: 56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
    11) Warranty & Service:
-4 Yr Ltd Warranty and At-Home Service
-4 Yr. Accident and Theft Protection
    12) Bluetooth: Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal (2.0+Enhanced Data Rate)
    13) Extras: (Came in package)
    - Adobe + Adobe Photoshop + Premiere Elements
    - DataSafe Online Backup (20GB for 1 year)
    - Trend Micro Internet Security (15 months)

Price: (Bought through Member Purchase Program, was cheaper than using 25% off coupons)
    List: $2,440
Total w/ Tax: $1,750 ($1680 if you add in free $70 gift card included with 4 yr. warranty )

I know this configuration might not suit everyone, but I'm heading off to school and the 4 yr. warranty + accidental damage plan just made sense. Plus, I know I could have upgraded the memory myself, but it was just simpler to order everything at once. For what it is, does everything think I got a good deal?

I got the exact same configurations as your's except I have 250GB HD and you have the 320GB HD, I have the intel wireless n card and you have the regular g card, you have 4 years of warranty and I have 1. You paid $1750 and I paid $1283.48

I just dont think the system is malfunction after the first year, if anything is gonna go wrong it will go wrong in the first year.. I can understand accidental but i have never dropped my 3 year old laptop so I dont think I will drop this one either.. *knock on wood*

Nice config.. You could have saved yourself some serious $$ if you went lower on the RAM and bought additional DIMMs from newegg.

Nice system. How much extra is 4 year warranty compared to 3 years?

it depends where you bought it from, i bought the mobile entertainment package so it already came with 3 yrs. included in price, 4 yrs. was $80 + free $70 gift card.

w/ the memory, mobile ent. package included 4 gb (no choice).

The thing about the ram in on another thread too. According (and I could find this out, but I am being lazy) to that OP they make you get 4GB if you go for the T9300. So I suggested that he calls and places the order.

If you would choose the basic, then you can get the 2GB, and then choose the 3 or 4 year warranty, im not sure on the price difference tho, but if you start with the $599 off deal, once you put the 25% off coupon in, it automatcally takes the $599 off..
