    Hello guys,
after a lot of troubles and two replacements made because of faulty previous screens I finally got my LG WSXGA+ screen. First impression is "unbelievable", it's gorgeous screen with only one little problem- it has slightly noticeable light bleeding at bottom (I think there isn't exist screen without it at all)
After that I noticed that it is a little bit dimmer than my previous LG WXGA+ (I think because 200 vs 220 nits, what do you think?)
Ant then I went to control panel and saw it is LPL0000 instead of LPLF300,
So what do you think about this part number? Although the screen is really beauty.

If you think the screen is beautiful, I'd be happy with it and move on. It's very good already that you don't have stuck pixels...

No bleeding here. I have the LPLF300 (LG Part number is LP154WE2-TLB2) and its awesome. It has one stuck pixel which isn't really an annoyance; hopefully it will eventually become re-energised and start working, but I can't be bothered fiddling with it now.

My screen is also an LPL0000, and I guess I would call it a dimmer than my previous screen, but it's easily the best notebook display I've had for gaming.

Try setting Digital Vibrance 45-60%, Contrast and Gamma at 45%.

That's absolutely normal. You are not going to see that using your notebook for normal purposes, unless staring at an all black screen is normal for you, in which case you will see it.

I went through the rigmarole to get an LG screen, too. They are very nice, way better than the other models used at the time. It's unbelievable that that there can be so much difference and Dell and some customers don't seem to notice.

But if you do decide to play a game on it and have a particularly dark scene (i.e. a dark corridor or alley, or a graveyard scene) you will notice it IMHO.

I personally wouldn't be happy with that, but each to their own. When I pay $xxx for a laptop. i want it to match the price that I pay.

Nope, no way. You would never notice something like that on your own during play. You'd have to be sitting there expecting it and concentrating to see it. If you're doing that, you're not really playing the video game, you're playing the notice the light game. Not a very fun game, and one you will always lose.

Its basically up to your if its something that's bothering you or not - the bleed doesn't really look bad imo.

In real use actually looks like that:

I don't know, it is very strange...when I turn my PC on, there is not ANY light bleeding anywhere, but after 20 min. work it appears like this...very strange...

The ccfl needs some time to get it's maximal brightness, that's why the bleeding needs some time to appear.

This bleeding is absolut normal. When do you use a complete dark screen?
Even on my LED screen I see a similar bleeding when I turn the screen completely black.
