    Hey
So I have had my xps15 for almost a month now, and am very happy. Im a having an issue that every now and then the computer would lag, the sound would go weird and start making a strange noise, and the picture gets fuzzy. All of it last for maybe a little over a second every time, But when playing a game it gets annoying. Any idea what the problem might be? It corrects itself quickly but Im sure this shouldnt be happening at all.

    Side note:
Also in the future if i upgrade my hdd to an ssd, will it void my warrantee? or i should i put the hdd back in before claiming anything? Cause i plan on upgrading it myself in the near future but not sure but i dont wanna have to swap them back and forth inorder to get anyhelp from dell.

    Thanks in advance!

I experienced audio glitches and short screen freezes while gaming (I noticed them with Starcraft II and GW2).

Today I installed the a06 bios and I don't notice them anymore in Stracraft, for now. (maybe they were because of the overheating using the A04 bios).

I don't know if you are experiencing my same issue.

I have the L502x, but I'm posting since I have a similar issue with this machine. Whenever I'm listening to any sort of audio, while loading a webpage that requires a more significant amount of bandwidth (thus increased Wi-fi card activity), I get a really weird sound distortion and some stuttering on the screen. I would recommend updating your BIOS and check for driver updates (mainly Wi-fi first and foremost). Other than that, I haven't really found a straightforward solution for it, but I'm on my latest BIOS and the symptoms have seemed to have reduced, if not disappeared.

I have the xps l502x and I'm experiencing the same thing. I've searched around but I've only found two possible causes: core parking or realtek audio. For some, disabling core parking seemed to fix the issue (didn't fix it for me). Same goes for realtek audio (I haven't really tried disabling it, so I can't say much about it).

Others say that they never experienced the issue on vista, so I'm hoping that it is just a problem with windows 7.
