This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Hi there,

    I've been reading some of the various threads on the new Dell XPS15 that was re-launched recently.

    I keep seeing mention of an island keyboard, but I have no idea what people are talkinga about, especially compared to other types of keyboard.

    I'm in Canada, so not even sure if it would be the same as the one sold to US or International customers, but curious if people can explain what the keyboard issues/benefits are and also how to find out what type of keyboard might be coming with my system when it arrives next week.

    Your being in Canada makes no difference, all XPS 15 L502x will have the island/chicklet keyboard. And there are no issues or benefits really, just personal preferences and opinions.
