    I was so happy to get an LG as my third screen in my M1530. Unfortunately, it is grainy. I told the technician everything was OK after he put it, because the difference between this screen and my previous screens is huge (much brighter and the grain is not THAT bad). But now, I'm more and more annoyed that I still don't have a screen without major flaws.

    I'm starting this thread to know how many of LG screens are grainy and to decide if there is any point in calling Dell again.

    If you answer Yes, please write what hardware ID you have.

    I would also be glad if someone could tell me if I can tell the technician that I want the old screen after he already put the new one (in case it was worse).

    Thanks.

    PS I'm not sure if LG makes WUXGA screens for Dell but I put it anyway just in case.

    Edit: If you don't know how to check if your screen is grainy, see this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=297983

    Yours is Chunghwa Picture Tube panel. Not an LG.

    Mine is LPL0301 WXGA. This screen is bright and clear.
    LG panel is 10 times better than my old grainy and dim Samsung SEC3358.

    @Julas
    I heard almost all LG panels for M1530 are non-grainy.
    Depends on where your M1530 was built, maybe Dell are using different stock.

    If almost all the panels from LG are not grainy, then I must be really unlucky to get a grainy LG after a terrible Samsung and AUO. I'll call Dell again but I'm afraid they won't replace it. They'll probably want me to make some photos again and so far I was unable to document grain on photos (cameras add their own grain and it's hard to see it).

    The funny thing is that when I first replaced the broken Samsung with a line of dead pixels, they didn't want any photos. However, the technician knew that the screen would have dead pixels so this time I can't lie to them and say that I have dead pixels :)
