Yeah it is, although I'd recommend going for the LED Screen. It's a better power saver and colors are richer, and it makes your laptop overall lighter.

Power saver - May be an extra 30 mins compared to the CCFL screen (not just a number I picked out of the sky.....most reviews I've read don't peg it as much more of a savings)

Richer Colors - Eye of the beholder

Lighter Laptop - Marginally, and probably not noticeable unless you use a scale to compare.

IMO, save your money and get the CCFL screen. You also get the 2mpix camera as well. The extra 2-3 millimeters of screen thickness is negligible.

I got my M1330 for $1480 with corporate discounts (regional pricing may apply)

Specs differ by the T7100 cpu, WLED screen, Vista Business, 9 cell battery. Mine also has 3 years completecare.

Get the LED screen. You will be kicking yourself for not, once you see someone else' XPS with the LED screen. Its not something you could retrofit after purchase. Its also brighter, something you would appreciate if you use it outdoors. (its still far short of the D620 ATG's 500nit screen)

0.3mpix is plenty for VidCons, which is the only thing you are going to use it for anyway.

    Good deal no less.
