If have a 8600 gt 256mb single, compared to a 8700 gt 512mb dual, would my lcd picture look much better, brighter, & less grainy?

BTW- I am not talking about with playing games, i don't play games.

No. Why would it improve the physical quality of your screen?

Why would a single lower end card improve a computer's visual performance when compared to a more powerful SLI card? If you're just talking about actual display quality, it shouldn't make a difference.

That is the quality of your screen and nothing related to your video card.

Thank you, that's what i thought, bad screen model.

So if i don't play games, then there's no point in getting a high end gfx card?

Yeah even integrated would handle blu-ray processing if you wanted a blu-ray drive. It'll save you battery power too.

No, that is just the quality of your screen.

The quality of the picture has more to do with the drivers than the actual card. But even then, unless you are gaming, pretty much everything will look the exact same unless something isnt working correctly.
