    Is it possible to replace a CCFL with a LED display?

    In the worst case scenario, you'll need a new display, new inverter, new display cable, and a new lid/bezel assembly. Most likely you won't need the latter two parts. The cable is a toss up; I'm not sure - I know on an E6400 the display cable is the same for CCFL and LED. You will need a new display and inverter for sure, but usually these are bundled together.

    thanks for the help. sounds too complicated lol..will just replace with another ccfl display.
