I own a XPS M1530 (specs in my sig), since 2008. Its been working fine.
The only concern to me is that i havent updated the BIOS (version A09) and the video card(version 7.15.11.7644) since i bought it. Mainly because i read here that the newer version are unstable and are known to cause problems etc.

I checked the nVidia site and the latest driver now for my GPU is this - NVIDIA DRIVERS 258.96 WHQL but on the Dell site the latest driver fror my GPU is the one currently installed, so according to Dell my GPU driver is up to date.. This confuses me.. should i update the video driver from nVidia site?

And the latest BIOS is A12 at Dell site. Its been two years since that BIOS is released, should I update my BIOS now?

Also, i am not experiencing any serious problems with my XPS, its just while playing some newer games the frame rate is dodgy and it gets a little hot, although my system meets all the required configuration as stated by the game, so i was hoping updating my video card driver and BIOS might help..

    Thanks.
