I am about to clean up my brand new 1530 and will pretty much follow the bloatware removal guide, and I was wondering if my eject, play/pause, back, next, stop, and volume buttons will still work if I choose not to install Media Direct and remove the MD partition...
Thanks

Yes. it should
Even if u will fully format yuor Hdd and instal new OS.
Actually I dont use multimedia buttons, just eject and volume buttons, but they works. -
Dell QuickSet controls the media buttons, so as long as you install QuickSet, no problems!

I have not instaled Quickset and any dell app. just drivers and everything works fine

I got rid of MD...it was more of hassle then enjoymnet for me. You will like that extra space you get from not having it.
And, Hep is right about Quickset..it works great for Media button!

Yes. They will.
You don't even need Quickset installed, if it's anything like the Vostro. Media players will probably pick up on it. I know WMP, Winamp, and Foobar2000 do. For the latter two, you can map exactly what you want them to do.
If I choose not to install MD and reclaim the space, will my buttons still work?
