    my backup partition that has 10 Gigs of photos and videos? I also have Dell Media Direct on another partition.. Is that effected? Do i loss my photos and videos, after the fresh install? Will Direct work automatically?

    To merge them back... you have to delete the other partition. They will become unpartitionned space which you can extend your main partition to it! But you will lose all information on it...
