I have a can of compressed air I'll be using to dust off my laptop.

How do I go about cleaning it? Do I just spray air into the vents or...?

If someone can walk me through this, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Don't spray compressed air directly into the vents, because this would damage the fan through the strong rotation.
Better would be to unscrew the bottom of the laptop and clean it then. Just hold the fan so that it cannot turn and spray it clean ;)

DO NOT blow through the vent hole cause the dust can settle in your mobos and components. i would really rec that if the problem is serious, take the whole bottom case out, and just blow it small area by small area.

BEWARE, DO NOT use any cloth that can create static electricity to wipe dust of inside. this can literally Fxxx your components. LOL

    hope this helps
