I had an unfortunate accident last week, a full glass of white wine all over my XPS M1530.

After removing the power cable and battery I dried it as well as I could, things could have been worse as I normally drink a pint of beer!

Over the next few days the keys were sticking badly, especially my "e" which became almost unusable, something needed to be done, but I was unable to find any specific advice either on this board, or by using Google.

Using instructions in the Dell XPS M1530 service manual I:
    - Removed the battery.
    - Removed the three screws securing the central control panel.
    - Removed the two screws securing the keyboard.
    - Without removing the keyboard I angled it almost vertically with the base resting on a thick wad of paper towels.
    - I soaked a tissue in warm water and carefully trickled it through the keyboard, pressing the keys hard to clean them thoroughly.
    - I dried the keyboard with tissues and a cool hairdryer.
    - I then left my open laptop in the sun for an hour before re-assembling.

    It now works 100% :D

Am I lucky or what!
