    Hi,
[I am being tormented by Dell Studio 1555 and Dell customer service.]
Seems to be a straight forward question, however whatever I try, nothing seems to work. No one in Dell seems to care about that a customer wants to extend the warranty.

Here is what I have tried so far:

    - I sent one email in Dec-2010.

    - 2 emails in Jan-2011. I even got a response that I will be contacted in 2 business days, but no communication after that.

    - Visited the local dell service center ( Domlur, Bangalore, India), got my request registered there in Feb 2011.

    - Then after that I have sent another couple of requests online.

But no one seems to listen/respond, as if Dell and me do not exist in same universe!

Does it have something to do with the fact that I have had very bad experience with the laptop in first 6-8 months. In that period it already saw service center 3 times:

    a) First time within one month of purchase - the display had to be replaced.

    b) 4/5th month - some reverse current problem!!

    c) 5th-6th month - touchpad had to be replaced.

    d) 7-8th month - overheating - endless BSODs.

Since it is my primary development machine, during this whole process I have lost at least 4-6 weeks of development time. While trying to diagnose myself, taking backups, waiting to get repaired, restoring,

Which is why I do not want to take any further risk - and is it the reason why Dell is ignoring my warranty extension requests? Is it an ethical business practice, a world class service?

    -Akshay

Tell them to replace ALL your laptop or else...
