I'm currently using Acronis True Image. I've created a bootable CD using Acronis, and I'd like to attempt to boot my m1330 using this CD.

Problem is, when I insert the Cd and restart my laptop, it simply goes to Vista, and boots normally.

Do I have to change the order of drives which the system checks for an OS to boot from, moving the optical drive to the 1st position, in order to get this to work? If so, how do I go about modifying the BIOS, and is there any risk in doing so?

Thanks for any help. I'd just like to make sure that I can boot my computer from the Acronis emergency disk, if I ever need to restore my system.

Hold down F12 when you boot up and select the boot from CD option.
