Trying to install windows 7 ultimate from a disk, but as soon as I press install this message comes up,

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now.

Note: If Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step."

Anyone know what this means and how I can fix it?

I managed to install windows by making a bootable USB, but now my monitor is constantly blinking to black, then back to regular. It only happens when I am in the OS, when I am in bios it's fine..

I've never had problems like this before

    Hi Overvu

I don't have a screen problem but I am interested as to how you got your XPS15 to install via USB. I've follow all the standard guides etc and in the windows installer UI I get prompted for a CD/DVD driver and I'm unable to pass this point. What is interesting is if I put my windows DVD in then it continues with the install (obviously I dont need a driver). Anyway any tips would be much appreciated, cheers :)
