Help please! I can't figure out keyboard on new Dell XPS15-7368SLV

I just bought a great laptop for Photoshop and Lightroom editing of photos.(3200 x 1800 res, high lux, 16gb ram, 1tb hd, etc) Instead of joy upon opening my new toy, I was inundated with a multitude of keys some of which have 2, some 3 and some 4 functions. Even Dell tech can't tell me how to select each of the functions on the keys. For example, to the left of the right hand shift key is a key which is labelled with the following 4 characters: ? / ' É. The key adjacent to and left of the backspace key is labelled with the following 3 characters: + = 3/4. Is anybody able to help me out in determining how to select the characters I want from these keys? Is there a good tutorial on using this laptop? I'm not very smart with computers. Thanks for your help.

 

How can I help

 

It would be nice to have an owners' manual that addresses more than how to assemble/disassemble or troubleshoot the laptop. It seems, however, that we as consumers are left to figure out how to operate the machine ourselves. If there are tutorials I could be directed to for the XPS15-7368SLV, that would satisfy my first wish. Barring that, however, knowing how to utilize the keys with their myriad of icons would be great. I'll use a couple of examples. Immediately to the left of the right hand shift key is a key that contains four icons. They are ? / ' É
Tapping the key produces a / Shift and tap produces a ? How do I access the ' É symbols? The key two over to the left of the one I described has five symbols. The one adjacent to the backspace key has three symbols. Is there a common method to accessing these keys, and what is the method?
Also, the key to the right of the space key is labelled Alt Car. What is its function?
The track pad's center is a horizontally inclined rectangle that has diagonally outward pointing arrows. At the center , it has a dot with counterclockwise pointing arrows emanating from its center.Beside it is a vertically oriented white rectangle with a left pointing arrow. I have no idea what these are meant to do. Any clarification will help. Thanks in advance.
