    Hi,
    i have the xps 1710 and i know its old now , but i need to know how do i turn on the bluetooth on it , i googled it alot and stuff but couldnt find it.
    i have this mark of bluetooth between the mediadirect button and power button, but i dono how to turn it on. and as well as when i press the media direct key , nothing happens. is that supposed to be okay?

    Try Fn+F2 to see if you can turn it on and off.
    Look in the BIOS to see Fn+F2 do when pressed.
    Are you sure you've got the module installed in the laptop?
    As for the media key you'll have to reformat using the Media Direct cd because MD sits on a separate partion if you don't have it will not work.
