Hello I need help in installing Win 7 and all the drivers on Dell XPS 1645.

I actually did one try using the provided DVD of win 7 on my own and dont know where I went wrong.

Now when ever I am using Cyberlink PowerDVD and trying to watch any dvd or movie it halts...the system goes out of his mind and to stop this I have to simply remove the battery or unplug the wire.

Another issue which I noticed is that when ever windows try to update the system. The systems never shutdown or boot up successfully. I have to wrestle with it....some 2 to 3 times I have to reboot and force shut down...dont know what the hell is happening with me.

Is there anybody who can guide us on how to install Win 7 using the provided DVD and how to install the drivers....may be its an installation issue.

Will look forward to hear from you seniors.

Here is a nice "Stickied" Guide on the Dell Main forum:

    Dell System Recovery Guide

There was another thread that had some info also. :) Looking for it!

Also, see this thread, some helpful links/posts in it! :)
