    Help With Dell Xps M1330 Vista Downgrade To Xp!!!

    I followed the instruction on this site, http://www.dell-m1330-info.com/dell_m1330_windows_xp.html
    to downgrade to xp. Everything seems fine. I downloaded the drivers and everything. but the thing is that it's EXTREMELY!!!! s...l.....o.....w. it's even slower than those old computers I dont know what the problem is. Is it something I did in the BIOS?
    I delete all the partitions except the C drive when it asked me, so Im not sure if that has anything to do with it. Some1 help plz lol im a fail at computer

    AHCI enable in your bios? If not u need to update the drivers manually before enabling it..

    O-o huh? I cant enable it or else the window xp wont run. on the site it said that i should disable it, so i changed it to ATA(the only other option) What drivers do i need to enable AHCI?

    Kirbxy like I said you need to install AHCI drivers manually, reboot and enable it in the bios. Just follow the instruction from the link vassil_98 posted..

    FYI - the flash module is Dell's term for the Intel Turbo Memory Card. If you do not have one installed, its pointless to enable it. If you do have one installed, DO NOT use the Intel Matrix Storage Manager installer. The Intel Turbo Memory installer installs its own certified version of Intel Matrix Storage Manager. See the info located at the Intel Turbo Memory page. Other than that, his process should work.

    thanks guys, so far it seems to be working fine but I dont get the "-a switch" part. I tried typing into command " IATA88ENG.exe -a" (the download site didnt have version 76 like the post said) and nothing showed up. so Im still stuck on the extracting files w/o installing part.
