DELL has stopped or will be stopping any and all notebooks which utilise the HM67 southbridge chipset due to a voltage fault on on the 3GB (2-5) sata controller.

The same goes for the desktop PM67 chipset.

If anyone asks , you never neard it from me,

just a heads up from a concerned Tech.

    Peace.

lol @ at all the conflicting information/misinformation/buzz/hype/rumors, etc.

First it was just desktops. Then it was mobiles. Then it didn't include the HM65. Then it did include the HM65. Then it was 2-5. Now it's 0-1.

    ?!!!!

I am inclined to believe AnandTech , IMHO they are the best in the business.

"Interestingly enough the problem doesn’t affect ports 0 & 1 on the 6-series chipset. Remember that Intel has two 6Gbps ports and four 3Gbps ports on P67/H67, only the latter four are impacted by this problem."

The 6 refers to the speed there, obviously.

Two at 6, the rest at 3. Remember that Intel has two 6Gbps ports and four 3Gbps ports on P67/H67,

If you read the linked post I made, this was clear.
