So i downloaded HD tune to check the tempareaure of my xps1530. I put my laptop on my zalman nc1000 and my temperature after playing CS:S for an hour is 41celcius. I decided to switch on the fans on my NC1000 and my temperature went up!!! How is this possible? ( I have it positioned so all the fans are directly over the vent. any suggestions? maybe a different program i should use!

Try EVEREST. I find it to be one of the best hardware monitoring/diagnostics softwares.
