My new Studio XPS 13 with integrated NVIDIA 9400M graphics came in. I tried to hook up the HDMI port to my HDTV, a Sony KDF-E50A10:

On my screen, all that displays is some random flickering colors. Ive tried changing the resolutions and various settings in the NVIDIA control panel, but still no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try? I figure HDMI should be pretty much plug and play. The TV is 720p and Ive tried resolutions from 1280x720 to 800x600. I dont really have any experience with HDMI to be honest.

There are some custom settings in the NVIDIA control panel, but I am not too familiar with these settings:

The max resolution for my TV is 1280x720, I think that is out of range. Ive always used 1280x720 using a VGA cable, so I have no idea...

i think most 720p TVs have native resolution of 1368x768...

any pic/video of the flickering? set it to 60hz?

try doing the FN+F8 to see it the laptop can automatically adjust focr you

Yup, it's 60hz. The flickering occurs too fast for me to take a picture. None of the suggestions has worked so far unfortunately =(
