I hustled my AAFES Dell rep...I originally had the 8400M GS ordered but noticed that the price dropped from 100 to 85 for a 8600GT so I said I might as well. Original price for my other laptop was 879. Originally they said they wouldn't be able to give me all that for the old price. I had to call 9 different Dell reps and contact the AAFES Dell rep again.

I swear...it better not have any defects! Someone is probably going to spit on my motherboard!

Sometime in October. Dell is waiting on LED shipments.

I think it was a good deal, but not great. But there are others who had better deals than me.

A thousand dollars cheaper would be pushing it. I got my set up for 1300 shipped.

It's funny that Dell told you they are waiting on LED screens. I have been fighting with them for 2 days because there is an "industry wide" battery shortage. After I pointed out that the same 6 cell battery was listed as shipping within 24 hours on the Dell website they offered me a $75 coupon and said my order would ship in 2-3 business days.

My new XPS 1530 better be flawless when it arrives.
