For better gaming: 3D or Non-3D?
The Non-3D option, the screen is 60Hz and the GPU is newer ( Optimus)
The 3D option, the screen is 120Hz and the GPU is older (No Optimus)

    So?

Both versions have the same graphics cards, neither card is older then another.
Optimus is only available on the Non-3D due to the fact that the 3D one does not use the Intel Integrated Graphics and therefore cannot switch to it.

Overall, they are both equally the same for gaming, the screens however are different; the Refresh Rate on the 3D may make that screen better for visual effects although I doubt you will see any real-world difference.

For nothing more then visual effects. Although, like I said earlier you probably won't notice the difference whilst gaming.

    I agree.
When I had my 3D XPS I saw no difference in 60Hz vs 120 Hz. Using my non-3D XPS today with the 60Hz looks exactly the same as the 3D version, whether or not you set the game refresh rate to 120 Hz. I could not see any difference except for the fact that the 3D version has the glossy screen.
