    Hi All,

Up until a week ago on my XPS 9343 I would not have to hold the fn key to change things like brightness and volume, but now the f keys are the default. Does any one know how to change this back ?

    Thanks

    It is a BIOS setting.

BIOS Settings. Look for "Fn Key Lock"

I found it and it worked thank you both. Not sure how that happened as I have not been in the bios of this computer.

You can change it with fn+Esc, unless you deactivate that option in the bios.

Is there an easy way to change this for only an individual F key? I want to be able to press F5 to refresh without also pressing Fn, but for all the other keys, I want the default (without pressing Fn) to be the Dell-mapped keys.

You could try writing an Autohotkey script for that, should be reasonably simple. If you do, please share the results here. :)
