    Hey guys,

I've order my XPS 16 with i5! Comes mid-Feb, but I was told that I can't hae the interal TV tuner as there are compatibility issues. So basically I need an alternative external one for a good price £50 or less! Thanks.

Its a bum that they have removed the built in tuner option in the core i5/i7 models in the uk isn't it?? This is supposed to be a STUDIO (ie multimedia) xps notebook after all, and there they are busy stripping off features and charging the same money.

If you are in the Uk, the consider holding out for a pci-express card DVB-T2 (freeview HD) tuners which should be arriving over the next couple of months-that way you can make the most of the 1080p screen if you selected that option. The 2010 world cup will be on freeview hd and freesat. Alternatively Hauppauge and Avermedia both make nice external tv tuners for notebooks.

Thanks but does the new card stick out the casing too much? Any ETAs?

I'm also looking for the same. Anyone know of one that works with the XPS 1645? (i7/820)

    Thanks

Bump - Looks like I'll be buying one now rather than when the new stuff is out, any suggestions?
