Does such a thing exists? Basically I'm looking for a slim portable subwoofer that I can carry around with my xps 14.

Like the one in xps 15/17 but with a case and some sort of power source from my lappy. Or even from an electric outlet, as long as it's slim and portable.

Thanks for the links, the second one looks like exactly what I wanted, but the I only found 1 on amazon, it's used and still cost 75bucks. Too bad it's discontinued(maybe because of the price, lol)

Not exactly looking for a speaker+subwoofer as the original speakers on my rig are good enough.

Edit: oh wait, it's 60bucks on the apple store, still a bit pricy. Might purchase it if there's no other substitute, thanks again, zippoman

If you mean the on-board speakers in the laptop, you may be out of luck. In my experience, as soon as you plug into the sound-out jack, the on-board speakers are disabled.

Too bad, it would be good to be able to use the on-board speakers and supplement them with a small external woofer or a couple of small external speakers. As it is, if you want to use any external sound, you lose the on-board speakers.

When I plug my regular headphone into the middle headphone jack, the realtek audio program actually asked me what I plugged in, and there are options for headphone, front speaker, rear speaker and subwoofer.
