    If this has been asked before I apologize, I have searched numerous sites, but none that I have seen are helping me solve this.

    I have a Dell XPS 17 L702X;
    Op Sys - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    CPU - Intel Core I7-2630QM
    Ram - 8Gb
    Video Card - Nvidia GeForce GT 555M 1 GB

    The problem I am having happens whenever I plug in an external sound device, when I do, the internal speakers turn off, I believe this is some kind of default setting. I would like to know if it is possible to enable the internal speakers whilst other speakers are plugged in. I have looked through all sound configurations, and playback devices, making no progress. Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Also when I check the playback devices, only 1 driver shows up for both internal and external speakers, so whenever I connect a speaker it does not show any additional sound drivers. Its simply Called (Speakers, Realtek High Definition output).

    Edit: Show hidden devices is on.
